MODULE 2-5
Dynamic vs. Static Shooting
Description:Experiment with shutter speed for dynamic and still situations.
Example:Contrast between a still scene with fast shutter speed and dynamic movement with slow shutter speed.
This is a dynamic photo taken with slower shutter speed. The shutter was open for longer, so more light got in. The camera captured the movement of the subject and the lights, which made the blur and streaking lights.
This is a static photo taken with fast shutter speed. At fast shutter speed, the shutter quickly opens and closes. Light has less time to get in, so there is less or no movement that was captured in the photo.
